The team's "best of" film selection

To mark the occasion of the Cannes Film Festival, the Clio Goldbrenner team shares their favourite films.

“Mon roi”

A poignant movie that absorbs you in its narrative! The actors’ portrayal is very powerful and Maïwenn directs with flair. A tumultuous love story between Vincent Cassel and Emmanuelle Bercot. The film absorbs you from the very beginning, so much so that you don’t notice the passage of time.

An emotionally laden film, portrayed by incredible actors and an exceptional soundtrack!

“Les petits mouchoirs”

Funny, absorbing, and unsettling all at once. I love the emotional mix. I watch it on a loop without stopping and I can identify all of my friends in each of the different characters in the film. I absolutely love François Cluzet in the role of the ball-breaker but he’s definitely my little darling.

“Le brio”

Inspired by a true story, Neila Salah takes us on a journey with her from the very start of the film. Funny, touching, and true, it’s a film that you must see right away. A lesson in humility and in life itself.

“L'Auberge Espagnole”

Romain Duris, Audrey Tautou, and Cécile de France are quite simply exceptional, with sensational direction by Cédric Klapish that takes me on a Proustian journey to Erasmus exchanges and nights out with friends.

“Nous trois ou rien”

A film that’s both funny and touching at once. I like the way the plot is inspired by Kheiron’s parents’ story, and a lovely life lesson!

It was with a Clio Mini in his hand that Deborah François climbed the Festival steps this year, what an honour! She is a Belgian artist revealed in 2005 with the film "L'Enfant" by the Dardenne Brothers.
