The "CLASSIC" leather is the brand's "ICONIC" leather. This leather is an "oiled" full-grain calfskin leather, with an extremely distinctive texture. If you run your nail over its surface, you'll see how the wax coating comes away, forming a light or whiteish colour. The colour of the leather gets lighter as it is put under tension. Applying an oily solution to the surface of the leather gives it a very supple texture. Though the leather remains susceptible to scratches, it offers excellent durability. The scratches are what give the leather, over time, what is known as its natural "patina". This leather should be regularly cared for using a colourless milk or a cream in order to keep it nourished. To restore its shine, the bag can also be rubbed with a leather brush or a soft, dry cloth.
