CLIO GOLDBRENNER X ALEX GABRIELS
CLIO GOLDBRENNER X ALEX GABRIELS : WHEN RECYCLED LEATHER AND CLAY MEET
Fuse Clio Goldbrenner's emblematic leather with Alex Gabriels' pure, hand-crafted ceramics and you get a sublime blend of recycled materials.
Two completely different worlds, but ultimately similar in essence, have come together to create. United by a common Belgian identity and their desire to design products of value and aesthetics, Alex Gabriels and Clio Goldbrenner present their recent collaboration to you today.
When leather and clay meet, creativity begins to express itself. A new story had to be invented and added value had to be given to the materials. This collaboration is above all based on the idea of giving a second life to what already exists: to design our unique candleholder, we decided to play with only scraps of leather and recycled clay.
This project is about combining our strengths and bringing our passions together. We want to inspire you to follow your rhythm
and to value all those around you. And of course, we want to inspire you to create a warm and pleasant interior space where you love to live.
Working with Alex has been a real pleasure. She exudes passion and love for clay, the raw and pure material with which she creates magic every day.
When she was a young girl, following the example of her mother, she already felt the importance of a visually pleasing table with lots of ceramics. The meal is so much more tasty when it is served on pretty plates and surrounded by beautiful decorative objects, isn't it?
For many years, she worked as an art director in the advertising sector, which allowed her to be creative, but she lacked concrete creativity. The desire to create something permanent out of nothing led to her love for clay. And so the adventure began... she trained in artistic ceramics and specialised more and more in the creation of refined and functional objects.
The exclusive candleholders, handmade in Brussels, are available in four natural tones: Brick Red, Coal Black, Flour White and Soil Brown.
